$DEATH · Robinhood Chain

$DEATH launches on Robinhood Chain. It is not live yet. Everything on this page about the token, holding tiers and skin tokens describes how it will work at launch. The game itself is free, needs no wallet, and always will.

01 - The game

What Deathbox is

A fast, classic first-person shooter that runs in a desktop browser. No download, no install, no account: press Play and you are in a match. It is built on The Sandbox's Genesys engine and runs entirely in the tab.

Arsenal

Thirteen weapons: M4 Carbine, AK-47, SCAR-H, AUG, the P90, UMP45 and MP5, the TAC-50 and AWP, the W1200 and Sawed-Off, and the Glock and Desert Eagle. Five preset classes to start, then Create-a-Class: pick a primary, a secondary, a lethal and a tactical, add attachments, and save the loadout. Weapons and attachments unlock as you rank up.

Quick Play

Pick a mode and the game finds a match in it, or hosts one. Matches are player-hosted and peer-to-peer, so there is no queue for a server. Up to six people play in each match, bots fill the empty slots, and four more can join to watch.

Servers

A live list of every game being played, with its mode, map and players. Join any of them in one click. The list also has the agent rooms: rooms nobody is playing yet, where you take on AI agents in Doubles, Singles or Search & Destroy against a full AI clan.

AI agents

Two hundred agents with careers of their own: real ranks on the leaderboard, ten AI clans on the clan ladder, and chat in the menu. Up to two of them join a signed-in player's matches.

Party & private matches

Start a party and bring friends with a code. Quick Play with a party takes everyone into a public game together.

A private lobby gets a six-character code. The host sets the mode, map, bots and their skill, the limits, friendly fire and the respawn delay, then starts when everyone is in. Private traffic is encrypted with the code itself.

First or third person

Switch from the menu. The host's choice applies to the whole match, so everyone plays the same view.

Social

Friends, an inbox for invites and news, voice chat (open mic or push-to-talk), a menu chat, and a calendar with the next Double XP Weekend and the next clan payout.

Playlists

Each rolls Domination, Search & Destroy or Sabotage map by map:

Hardcore - 30% health, friendly fire, almost no HUD. Low Gravity - gravity two and a half times lower, three-metre jumps. Radar On - every enemy on the minimap all match. Doubles - two a side.

Spectating

Dying in a round-based mode puts you over a living teammate's shoulder; click or press Space to switch. Up to four spectators can watch any match.

03 - Maps

Thirty-one maps

Every match draws its next map at random from the rotation, weighted towards the favourites and never the one you just played. The end of each match puts three maps to a vote. A few maps are built for one mode and only appear in it.

04 - Progression

Rank, XP and DCASH

Guest - play forever; progress is saved in that browser only. Wallet - one free signature proves the address, nothing is approved or spent. Discord, X or Steam - a full account without a wallet; link one later from Options for anything on-chain.

Signed in, your career lives on the server, so it follows you to any machine. Progress made as a guest carries over once when you sign in.

Ranks

500 ranks across 55 insignia, then ten prestiges up to Master Prestige. The first rank takes 2,500 XP; a good match is worth around 2,800.

XP

Kill 100 · headshot +50 · capture 150 · plant or defuse 300 · round win 150 · finishing a match 250 · placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd 1,000 / 600 / 300. The server recomputes every match itself, so the numbers are what happened.

Double XP

The weekend of every third Saturday, from Saturday 00:00 to Monday 00:00 UTC, all rank and clan XP is doubled.

DCASH

The game's own currency, earned by playing public matches while signed in: 50 for finishing, +5 a kill, +15 an objective, +100 for a win, +50 for a podium finish and +25 for the top half, up to 2,000 a match. It buys skins and headgear in the Shop.

Once $DEATH is live, burning it mints DCASH one for one.

Unlocks

Weapon camos from challenges and prestige, 47 calling cards, 78 rank GIFs, titles, audio tags, and 61 music loops - one for every rank from 2 to 62 - in Techno, D&B, House, Dubstep and Trance, played from your speaker in the menu and in matches.

05 - Operators & clans

Careers you own

Operators

From rank 10 you can mint your operator as an NFT on Robinhood Chain or Ronin. Minting is free. The token holds the operator's name, frozen at mint, and the game serves whoever holds it everything behind that name: the rank, prestige, stats, clan, operator-bound skins and the DCASH balance.

Sell the operator and you sell the career. Minted operators are listed on the Market with their prices.

Clans

Up to 30 members, growing with the clan's level (20 levels). Clans climb a ladder, challenge each other to clan matches, and can take on the ten AI clans.

Monthly payout: on the last day of every month a DCASH pool is shared between the clans by the XP they earned, then inside each clan by what each member contributed. The pool is 5,000 DCASH plus 2,000 for every active clan player.

06 - $DEATH

The token

$DEATH launches on Robinhood Chain - Robinhood's Layer 2, built on Arbitrum, which pays its gas in ETH. The supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000. The contract address will be published here, and in the game's Wallet, the moment it is live.

$DEATH buys cosmetics and makes your rank climb faster. It never buys damage, health, accuracy, score or anything else that decides a fight.

Uses

Burn it for DCASH one for one. Trade skin tokens, which are priced and settled in $DEATH. Hold it for faster XP. Hold it for a share of the game's trading fees.

Fee share

1% of all trading fees goes to $DEATH holders, paid in GLD, tokenised gold, so a payout keeps its value between claims.

Holding pays in XP

Tier I+5%Hold 100,000
Tier II+8%Hold 500,000
Tier III+10%Hold 1,000,000
What it touches

Career XP only - how fast you rank up. The scoreboard, kills, wins and the leaderboard are exactly what happened; a holder's kill counts as one kill.

How it is read

Your balance is read when the match is reported, and the tier you are in then sets that match's bonus. No staking, no lock-up, nothing to claim.

Thresholds are provisional until launch. The bonus will never go above 10%.

07 - Skins & cosmetics

Three kinds of cosmetics

All of them are purely visual. What separates them is what you have to hold to keep one.

Kind one

Operator-bound

  • Earned or bought with DCASH. From challenges, prestige and the Shop.
  • Bound to the operator, not the wallet. It cannot be sold, gifted or moved.
  • It travels with the operator. Sell a minted operator and its skins go with it.
Kind two

Unlocked by holding

  • Hold it, wear it. Decentraland and Voxels wearables become headgear; partner NFTs become party avatars; Zora coins unlock GIFs; music NFTs play in the game.
  • Checked live. It is yours exactly as long as the token is.
  • Buy it in the game. Decentraland wearables have a buy window right in Collection.
Kind three

Skin tokens

  • One token, one skin. Hold one unit to equip it.
  • Always liquid. Each skin trades against $DEATH on its own bonding curve; the contract is always the other side.
  • Fixed supply. Buying mints, selling burns, and the price moves with how many exist.
08 - Markets

Buying inside the game

Shop

Operator-bound weapon skins and headgear for DCASH. Genesis skins, including the free Hood skins, are on the shelf until the promotion ends on 1 January 2027.

Market

Skins - skin tokens on their bonding curves, opening with $DEATH. Operators - every minted operator with its price, bought in the game. Props - The Sandbox ASSETs.

Decentraland

Click a Decentraland wearable you do not own and the game finds its cheapest listing on Decentraland's own marketplace and buys it for you on Polygon, in MANA, in one transaction. The seller, the creator's royalties and Decentraland's fee are paid exactly as on decentraland.org.

Music & coins

Coop Records and Sound.xyz songs and Zora coins on Base, bought from Collection: a new copy straight from the drop while it is open, or the cheapest copy for sale once it has sold out.

Wallet & Swap

See every balance across chains in one place, and swap between ETH on Ethereum, Robinhood Chain and Base, RON, POL, SAND, MANA and ZORA, across chains, in one transaction. A swap to a token on another chain brings a little of that chain's gas with it. Short of MANA in the Decentraland window? One button takes you to the swap.

09 - Fees & earnings

Where the money goes

Every fee the game takes, in one place. Each one is shown in the game before you confirm anything.

WhereFeeStatus
Decentraland buy window2.9% on top of the listing price, in MANA, in the same transactionLive
Wallet swaps2.9% of the amount swappedLive
Music & coins on Base2.9% on top of the price, in ETH, in the same transactionLive
Skin token sells5% of each sale: 60% burned, 40% to the prize poolAt launch

What holders earn

1% of all trading fees, paid to $DEATH holders in GLD.

What players earn

DCASH every public match, the monthly clan payout, and XP. Nothing is paid out on chain for playing.

What sellers keep

On a purchase our fee is added on top for the buyer, never taken from the seller: a Decentraland seller, a creator's royalty and a marketplace's own fee are paid in full, exactly as if the item were bought on its own site.

10 - Integrations

11 - Fair play

What money can and cannot buy

A skin changes what something looks like. That is all it does. No damage, no recoil, no range, no reload speed: a rank 3 player with no skins and a prestige 10 player with every skin shoot exactly the same gun.

The one thing $DEATH changes is pace. A holder banks up to 10% more career XP per match, so their unlocks arrive sooner. It changes how fast you climb, never how a match turns out. Every weapon and attachment is earned by playing, nobody can buy a rank, and no balance makes a bullet hit harder.

Matches are peer-to-peer, so the server treats every report as a claim, not a fact: it recomputes XP itself, caps every number at what a human could do in one match, cross-checks kills against the other players' reports and rate-limits how many matches an account can bank per hour.

Guests are never locked out. Every mode, map, weapon and attachment is reachable without a wallet.
